Turning the Pages

My first literary crush was Encyclopedia Brown, and I've been a mystery buff ever since. I believe that every good book is, at least in some fashion, a mystery. Because life is a mystery.

The OFB 2013 TBR Challenge

As many of you know, I am a regular at Old Firehouse Books. In January this year, they posed a challenge on their Facebook page: to read 6 to 12 of those books that have been on your TBR list for more than a year. I'm re-posting my list here so it will be easier to find and check my progress.

I'm going for 12, with a couple alternates:

1. All Clear by Connie Willis.

2. The Cold Dish by Craig Johnson.

3. The Amber Spyglass by Philip Pullman.

4. A Long Fatal Love Chase by Louisa May Alcott.

5. American Gods by Neil Gaiman.

6. FlashForward by Robert J. Sawyer.

7. The Year of the Hangman by Gary Blackwood.

8. The Island of Dr Moreau by HG Wells.

9. Harriet the Spy by Louise Fitzhugh.

10. The Lace Reader by Brunonia Barry.

11. Perdido Street Station by China Miéville.

12. The Necromancer by Jonathan L. Howard.

13. In the Woods by Tana French.

14. U Is for Undertow by Sue Grafton.

So far I have finished only the first two. Fortunately for me, several of these books are relatively short. :-)
